Pastoral Care Team
A Pastoral Care Team is being created at Bethany in order to assist the pastoral staff in providing care (hospitalizations, grieving, etc); to provide referrals for professional care (mental/emotional illness, medical assistance, financial counseling/assistance, family and marriage counseling); and to assure good follow-up care (post-surgery, chronic illness, births, death/loss). This will be in addition to the Visit Team which in already in place and faithfully serving our home or facility bound brothers and sisters in Christ.
In order to better serve the many needs of our Bethany family, we are creating a list of professionals to assist our team when the area of need falls outside of our scope. If you serve in a field that think may be helpful, we would love the opportunity to discuss this with you further.
We are also looking to put together a list of people with a variety of “life” experiences that may be helpful in visiting. If you have had the experience of being a caregiver for a parent or spouse, lost a child, dealt with cancer, or other “life” experiences and would be willing to visit and support a brother or sister in Christ that is going through a similar situation, we would love to hear from you.
If you are feeling led to serve in either of these capacities, please contact the office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Could you, or someone you know, use a visit or some support?
The Pastoral Care Team wants to help!
